The Mechanical Contractors Association of Chattanooga held its second annual sporting clays event on October 7th , 2011. Montlake Classic Clays was the host of their annual sporting clay event again this year. As expected, Craig and Dawn Schaeffer did a wonderful job and the course was second to none. Members and Associate members were very generous in donating door prizes and sponsoring a total of 10 four-man teams. Team sponsored by Thompson Risk Management won the team event with a score of 324 out of a possible 400. Don Franklin was this year’s winner of the long bird competition, hitting the 55 yard target three out of ten . Winners of this year’s turkey shoot was Connie Hood, Rob Chase and Chris Marshall with their “illegal shotgun” . Lunch for the event prepared by Sid Elam was nothing short of delicious. hot wings for starters and BBQ with all the fixings. Other sponsors for this year’s event were: Chase Plumbing and Mechanical, Wachovia, NED Rental, Ben O’Neal Company, City Inspectors of Chattanooga, Brock Insurance Company, King Industries, C.C. Dickson Co., Ferguson Enterprises and iCON Air & Mechanical Services.
